Why Do People Succeed. [TED talk featuring Analyst Richard St. John ]

[En] Hi There !

[IMPORTANT Disclaimer: I am not the author of this content. This article is just a link to TED talk featuring Analyst Richard St. John about success. Ted Website would not let me “share” on Google+ the way I usually do. That’s why. And I won’t bother fetching the whole Youtube channel to retrieve it, too lazy for this. Should you want to get the real thing, original talk available directly on TED website here]

Here we go.

Why do people succeed? Is it because they’re smart? Or are they just lucky? Neither. Analyst Richard St. John condenses years of interviews into an unmissable 3-minute slideshow on the real secrets of success.

This talk was presented at an official TED conference, and was featured by our editors on the home page.

Enjoy !

Kids having fun in 150 mph wind (Vid 2/2)

Hi there,
Today a 5 minutes video showing my kids struggling with high power wind tunnel for sky diving simulation.

Sometimes scary, sometimes hilarious, always fun. Watch all the way through and check incredible instructor’s skills at the end.
Enjoy !

This one is the second flight for each of them. Another video will comme soon after.

No kid was injured in the making of this movie 🙂 And I got my now grown-up’s approval prior to publishing.
Hope you liked it!
Take care !

Quote : Kaamelott, Livre VI, 6 : Nuptiæ

[en] There is plenty of warchiefs, any sort of, alot of, good or bad, there is plenty of, but oddly at one time there is one of them who’s special, an exeptionnal one, a hero, a legend … This kind of warchief is rare, do you know their common point? Do you know their secret power? … They only fight for the weaker’s dignity.

Scratch Account – Update

Hi there,
It’s been a while…

Today I am setting up a brand new organization for my Scratch stuff. I have decided to split my account in order to manage four independent studios. The main reason for that is to keep it tidy and organized. Now you have 4 studios. One studio for Video Games (Pong and other basics) , another one for Animation (kind of cartoons if you wish), the third one is about Mathematics and last but not least for Simulators (Dashboards, Mechanics…). I will probably create more categories someday, but that’s enough for the moment as I haven’t shared that many projects yet.

Scratch Studios

I have decided to make these four “collections” in order to match my global strategy that consists of several centers of interests, different topics, that people would follow in particular, without having to read all my stuff if they don’t want to. This is already the case for this very blog where you can choose English or French content or search by categories and tags. Same principle for my Google Plus account which has up to 15 collections (including “3D Game Dev”, “Creative Content”, “Education”, “Inspirational”, “Shopping List”…) when my Instagram  is more about my travels, adventures and projects and my Twitter is related to more profound stuff (and some jokes when I am in the right mood). My future YouTube account will probably follow the same path, but no need to hurry for that one, as I have uploaded only one video so far.

Another reason why I needed several categories is for the “Animation” part. This one will have a specific role in the creation of my videos. I will use it either for scripting/editing, or for character animation, and maybe sound and musics as well.

That’s it for now. Please follow me on my networks, share, comment and like. (Any language will be fine for comments, but preferably English of French)

My Own Music Artists List

Hi There,

Not so much about technology today, but I have been asked many times about music, what I like, what I don’t.

Here is a list of artists I like, even if it is for a unique single song or an entire career. Bands and singers do not appear in a particular order, I just put names in it in a very random way. Most of it is very well known mainstream global music, yet I have chosen to add French music as well, and other bands that I like for particular reasons (Original Motion Picture Soundtracks for example). Some are heavy metal, other comes from ’70s Rock’n’roll, and I have included more romantic, or fun or entertaining style. Don’t expect to find a mood, or a style in there. Many artists will appear 2 or 3 times if they are part of several bands or had another career as a solo singer.
By the way, I did not try to count how many items you will retrieve here, it might not be a Top 100 as you can find many out there on the net. And I don’t pretend to be such a fine listener as the guys at Rolling Stone magazine…

Now enough talking, here it my list, enjoy !

Pressurized Stadium Roofs

Hi There,

Trying tonight to replicate the shape of inflated rooftops that you can find in the USA or Canada.

See original image
(This one is actually located in Tokyo – Japan)

Using Sketchup Make 2016, Soap Skin and Bubble Extension.

I have used the beginning of the tutorial below for getting inspired. (I will probably use this channel again, very easy tutorials there.)

This technology is not used much these days, but still looks good, that’s why I wanted to give it a try.

Feel free to rate, comment (any language), like, share.
